Goals & Objectives (Short term)
- 100% of the identified COL will be assessed by an educational facility to determine basic math, grammar and computer skill levels by August 2000
- 100% of COL will be able to use computers and other technology to communicate with others in the COL and college/university instructors in order to support their educational goals
- 100% of staff surveyed prior to contact will report an increase in comfort level and knowledge related to computer use within one year using a comparison between the initial survey and an identical survey one year later
Goals & Objectives (Long term)
- 100% of COL will be able to use technology well enough to complete assignments in credit-based training. This technology will include, but is not limited to, computer word processing, use of fax machines, use of e-mail, and use of the web to research a topic.
- 50% of COL will use technology to access at least one distance learning opportunity
- 100% of teachers will be able to teach basic computer skills such as use of the keyboard and mouse to children enrolled in the Head Start program

Background
- Serve 383 Head Start children and 35 Early Head Start children
- Early Head Start services are home-based with family activities offered monthly
- Home-based and center-based services are offered to Head Start eligible children
- Full day/full year, half day, and child care options are available
